Glenn Close reveals progress in bringing Sunset Boulevard to the silver screen

During an interview with Vogue this week, Glenn Close revealed significant developments about the eagerly anticipated film musical of Sunset Boulevard.

Close is not only reprising her award-winning role as Norma Desmond, but is also producing the film.

Whilst the pandemic has delayed the production schedule, Close said: "We have a fantastic script. I'm starring as well as producing, so I've been in the trenches with that one. We're just waiting for an absolute green light, and I hope it'll happen in the new year because we're ready."

She added: “I can't really put Norma to rest until I've explored her on film, so I hope that that happens."

Whilst we still might not have any definitive answers on when filming is due to start or subsequently when Sunset Boulevard will be released, these are strides in the right direction.
