CHICAGO announces Broadway return

The longest running American musical in Broadway history; ‘Chicago’ will be returning to the stage this autumn it has been announced today.

Producers Barry & Fran Weissler have proudly announced that the show will return to celebrate its 25th Anniversary on 14 September 2021 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Tickets are now on sale for the show and are available through to 17 January 2022, with tickets refundable or exchangeable up until two hours before the performance begins.

Chicago tells the tale of Roxie Hart a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her bit on the side, and desperate to escape conviction dupes the public and media. Set in a women’s prison Roxie is joined by Velma Kelly another high-profile case who is kicked to the side by Roxie’s arrival.

The 6 Tony Award, 2 Olivier Award and a Grammy winning musical is written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse with lyrics by Fred Ebb and music by John Kander. The show is currently playing for a limited time in South Korea, with a UK tour launching this September and further productions planned for Brazil and China in 2022.
