Casting announced for Lyric Hammersmith pantomime JACK AND THE BEANSTALK

Lyric Hammersmith Theatre have announced principal casting for this year’s highly anticipated pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, running at the venue from 19 November 2022 - 7 January 2023.

The cast includes Emmanuel Akwafo (For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy, Royal Court Theatre/New Diorama) as Dame Trott, Maddison Bulleyment (Six, UK tour) as Jill, Jodie Jacobs (Kathy & Stella Solve A Murder, Francesca Moody Productions) as Fleshcreep, Leah St Luce (The Lion King, Lyceum Theatre) as Jack, and Finlay McGuigan (Slime, The Herd Theatre/two National tours) as Simon. Further ensemble casting will be announced in due course.

Written by Jude Christian and Sonia Jalaly, this year’s panto is directed by Nicholai La Barrie, with set and costume designer by Good Teeth, choreography by Arielle Smith, lighting by Elliot Griggs, composition and arrangements by Corin Buckeridge, sound by Nick Manning, musical direction by Adam Gerber, and casting by Lotte Hines CDG.

Now in its 13th year, it continues to attract audiences of all ages from West London and beyond. Newly adapted by co-writers Jude Christian and Sonia Jalaly, Jack and the Beanstalk is the first panto directed by our Associate Director, Nicholai La Barrie. I am so thrilled for audiences to watch and experience this magical festive show, which our talented production team and artists have dreamt up.”
