Cast announced for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe have announced the cast of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which runs from 27 April - 12 August.

Directed by Elle While, the cast includes Sam Crerar (Happy Meal, London/UK tour) as Lysander, Sarah Finigan (Back To The Light, Pentabus Theatre) as Egeus/Snug, Mariah Gale (Henry VI: Rebellion, RSC) as Bottom, Vinnie Heaven (The Misfortune of the English, Orange Tree Theatre) as Demetrius, Jack  Laskey (The Realistic Joneses, Ustinov Theatre, Bath) as Oberon/Theseus, Molly Logan (A  Christmas Carol, Mac Belfast) as Flute/Fairy, Francesca Mills (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Netflix) as Hermia, Anne Odeke (The Winter’s Tale, RSC) as Hippolyta, Marianne Oldham (hang, Crucible Theatre) as Titania, Rebecca Root (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, UK tour) as Quince, Michelle Terry (Henry V, Regent’s Park Open  Air Theatre) as Puck, Isobel Thom (I, Joan, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Helena, and Tanika Yearwood (Emilia, West End) as Snout/Mustardseed. 

Director Elle While says: “I’m thrilled to bring together these brilliantly talented actors on the Globe stage for A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is a play of magic, of big betrayals, of deep passions and of true friendships. I can’t  wait for audiences to join us in the Globe for the warm summer months ahead to enjoy this play anew in our magnificent  wooden ‘O’.” 

The production has set design by Wills, with costumes by takis, movement direction by Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster, composition by James Maloney, and casting by Becky Paris.
