It was announced via the show’s social media yesterday that performances of Back To The Future the Musical have been suspended at the Adelphi Theatre until 20 September due to cast illness.

The show enjoyed its press night earlier this week, albeit minus their Doc Brown Roger Bart who had tested positive for Covid-19. After further cast members being taken ill, the show has been forced to temporarily close.

All tickets will be refunded, and customers will be contacted by their point of purchase to reschedule their booking.

Starring alongside Bart in the show are Olly Dobson as Marty McFly, Hugh Coles as George McFly, Rosanna Hyland as Lorraine Baines, Cedric Neal as Goldie Wilson, Aidan Cutler as Biff Tannen, Courtney-Mae Briggs as Jennifer Parker, Will Haswell as Dave McFly, Emma Lloyd as Linda McFly and Mark Oxtoby as Strickland (who stepped into Bart’s shoes for the press night).

Completing the cast are Rhianne Alleyne, Amy Barker, Matt Barrow, Joshua Clemetson, Jamal Crawford, Bessy Ewa, Morgan Gregory, Ryan Heenan, Cameron McAllister, Alessia McDermott, Laura Mullowney, Nic Myers, Shane O’Riordan, Katharine Pearson, Justin Thomas, Melissa Rose and Tavio Wright.

Back to the Future The Musical has a book by Bob Gale, with new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, plus additional songs from the film.
