Young Vic Taking Part have today announced that the conclusion of TWENTY TWENTY, their year long in-depth enrichment project in their local community, will be the online premiere of three short films starring members of the project’s community company. The films will be shared online at 6pm on 28 January.

The three films, entitled Even At Our Age, Tapestry and Home(Body) have been created in partnership with Blackfriars Settlement, Certitude and Thames Reach and were written and created with the three groups. The films reflect the unique characters and experiences of the participants.

The project was originally meant to conclude with three new plays performed at the Young Vic Theatre but due to Covid restrictions, this was unable to go ahead. As a result, the project was adapted and Young Vic Taking Part is now delighted to premiere these three films online, all shot in socially distanced conditions.

The company has also announced the four TWENTY TWENTY ambassadors as actor Ariyon Bakare, actress Erin Doherty, Booker prize-winning author Bernadine Evaristo and Cllr Sonia Winifred.
