Young performers invited to audition for live online pantomime featuring Harry Potter star Chris Rankin

International auditions will be held to find young performers (aged 11-16) to star in a live, online pantomime starring Harry Potter actor, Chris Rankin.

British TV and stage company, Panto Live, will create the world’s first fully interactive live online pantomime of Cinderella, which will be streamed into people’s homes in December.

The audience will be able to take control of many of the usual reactions heard at a pantomime such as “he’s behind you!” and “oh no there isn’t!” In doing so, it allows viewers to interact with the actors as if they were in the theatre itself.

Director, Daniel Coll, said: "We wanted to give some young people the opportunity to be part of the cast in this pantomime.

"The production will be available for a global audience and we felt it was only right to make sure the cast will be as international as possible. The selected winners will record their part from home and this will be shown within in the live performance of the shows.

Chris Rankin, best known for playing Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise will play the Fairy Godfather in the production.

He said: "I am over the moon to be working on this innovative international show that will give the audience the feeling that they are sitting in the theatre itself as the actors perform Cinderella Live!"

Young people must seek parental permission before sending in an audition tape.
