Whoopi Goldberg to reprise role of Deloris Van Cartier in SISTER ACT 3 film

Further details have been announced for the third instalment of the Sister Act franchise, which is gearing up for a Disney Plus release.

Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) has been confirmed as the director of Sister Act 3, with Madhuri Shekar writing the script. Whoopi Goldberg will reprise her role as Deloris in the film as well as co-producing.

The original film followed nightclub singer Deloris, who is forced to go into witness protection as a nun at a a convent, and inadvertently turns the convent choir into a Motown-singing chorus, until their sudden popularity threatens to reveal Deloris’ identity.

Release dates and details surrounding the plot are to be revealed.
