White Bear Theatre present theatrical GAY GENERATIONS Double Bill and a Special Gala Night with Peter Tatchell

The White Bear Theatre in Kennington will present a summer double bill of plays by Michael McManus, the writer of West End smash hit Maggie & Ted, and by celebrated stand-up comedian, writer, actor and broadcaster Charlie Ross MacKenzie from 24-28 August.

‘Gay Generations’ takes a look at life, love and loss, for gay men from different generations, and is being staged to support actors and new writing.

The first play is A Certain Term by Michael McManus, starring Daniel Cornish, Dickon Farmar & Ed O'Connor and directed by Bryan Hodgson.

Every autumn Graham hosts a special party for his friends, to celebrate their survival and to commemorate those who have been lost. Usually, it's much the same every year, but not this year. No, this year is going to be very different. This year he has unexpected guests - and his life is going to change forever.

The second play is I F________n Love You by Charlie Ross MacKenzie, starring Brandon Gale and Charlie Ross MacKenzie and directed by Michael McManus.

Consigned to sleeping on the sofa bed, Adrian and Simon are having a rough night’s sleep. An uncomfortable night leads to some uncomfortable conversations, and a probable broken toe!

There will also be a Celebrity Fundraising Gala Night on Friday 27 August at 7pm with Special Guest of Honour Peter Tatchell, who will take part in a post-show Q&A alongside the writers and directors of the two plays.  The fundraising will ensure the actors are paid fairly for their work, and the evening will include a drinks reception and a free raffle with some knockout special prizes.
