White Bear Theatre announce casting for double-bill of brand new one-act plays
Kennington’s White Bear Theatre has announced a fantastic line-up for a double-bill of one-act plays entitled Gay Generations by Michael McManus (writer of Maggie & Ted) and Charlie Ross MacKenzie (stand-up comedian, author and broadcaster), running from 24-28 August.
The double-bill will consist of A Certain Term by McManus and I F****n Love You by Charlie Ross MacKenzie.
The cast includes Daniel Cornish (Maggie & Ted, Garrick Theatre; The Good Scout, Above The Stag); Brandon Gale (Saturday Night Fever, UK and International Tour; Eugenius, London Palladium); Dickon Farmar (About 500, The Barbican; Holding The Man, Brockley Jack) and Ed O’Connor who makes his professional London stage début.
A Certain Term is directed by Bryan Hodgson and is a deeply moving piece, focusing on the HIV-AIDS pandemic.
I F****n Love You will be directed by Oliver McFadden and is about the perils of overthinking when you’re lying awake at night.
To ensure the actors are paid fairly for their work, there will be a Fundraising Gala on 27 August with special guest Peter Tatchell. It will include a drinks reception, knockout prizes and a Q&A session with the writers and Peter Tatchell.
