Due to the effects of COVID on the cast of the touring production of Jersey Boys (currently at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham until 1 January 2022), and the specific physical and vocal demands of the role of Frankie Valli, the actor scheduled to play Frankie today is unable to appear.

Instead, Ben Joyce, who plays the role of Frankie in the current London West End production at the Trafalgar Theatre, has travelled to Birmingham today and will step in at short notice to perform the role at this afternoon’s performance, which begins at 2.30pm.

Jersey Boys in London had to cancel performances on 22 and 23 December due to positive COVID cases in the company and no performances were scheduled for today, Christmas Eve, 24 December. The production in London is due to reopen on Boxing Day, 26 December.
