West End Acoustic and Agatha Christie staged readings announced for Riverside Studios Christmas Season

Riverside Studios have today announced further programming for its 2020 Christmas season, in partnership with New Frame Productions. The season will include an evening of unplugged performances with West End Acoustic featuring Maiya Quansah-Breed, Renee Lamb, Nicholas McLean, Tyrone Huntley and Sam Tutty, due to take place on 8 December. 

New Frame Productions have also announced two live staged readings of Agatha Christie’s crime plays, Spider’s Web and The Hollow, with casting including Sir Derek Jacobi, Jessica Hynes, Kathryn Drysdale, Tom Hughes, Simon Callow, Nina Sosanya, James Dreyfus, Valentine Olukoga, Angela Griffin, Laura Haddock, Matthew Kelly and Samantha Bond.

Spider’s Web is due to be read on 9 December with The Hollow taking place on 10 December. 

The venue’s creative Director, Rachel Tackley, said: “The last few months have highlighted to us how vital live performance is and at Riverside we really want to be able to share that experience with audiences just as soon as we are able. And what could be more than to be in the company of so many extraordinary artists. I can’t wait!” 

Producers of New Frame Productions, James Quaife and Robin Rayner, added: “We are thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to continue to present live shows to live audiences working in collaboration with Riverside Studios. It’s both a privilege and an honour to work with so many talented people across all our shows this Christmas.”
