It’s come around again, Besties; the time of year when we jazz up our rooms with tinsel and drink mulled wine or a cinnamon latte, whilst we dance like nobody’s watching. If you’re any kind of theatre lover and/or maker (or if you know someone who is), you’re probably having the time of your life listening to cast recordings of Elf: The Musical and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas on repeat.
Yes, Christmas Day is on its way…but what do you gift to the theatre lovers in your life? Fear not, we have you covered with this list of stagey gift ideas, because nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like giving someone else the moment in the spotlight that they deserve.

Her artwork is bright and crisp and there are designs for so many different musicals, in addition to her musical collage designs. As well as this, they do custom posters which can display multiple shows and souvenir tickets, which is a great way of telling your theatre lover about any shows they may be gifted tickets to see.
Theatre vouchers
Speaking of tickets, theatre vouchers are a great way to go if you’d like to surprise someone with a show but are unsure of what they’d like to see or have already seen. There are three main theatre voucher providers: Theatre Tokens, Ticketmaster and TodayTix.
Theatre Tokens can be used at 300 venues and they have a venue search feature on their website so you can be sure that your voucher will be accepted. Their gift cards don’t have an expiry date and you can register your gift card on their website to protect it in case you lose the physical card.
Much like Theatre Tokens, Ticketmaster also has the search bar feature. These e- gift cards and physical gift cards can only be used to buy tickets through the Ticketmaster website and do expire 12 months from the date of purchase, so it is worth keeping these things in mind. That being said, these vouchers can be used for a wider range of events, such as sports and music, in addition to theatre.
TodayTix gift cards are only available as e-gift cards but can be used for absolutely any show on the TodayTix app, meaning that they are great to use for multiple shows due to the offers offered through TodayTix. They also don’t expire, so can be used anytime.
Last but not least, every musical theatre lover's guru. Musical Theatre offers bi-monthly/monthly magazines, featuring show and album reviews, exclusive interviews and show features. There’s even a space for fan letters to be shared. They offer a range of subscriptions: digital, physical and both. You can even order back issues so you don’t miss out!
With that, our list comes to an end, Besties. Jazz hands! We wish you all the merriest of Christmasses!
