WEBF’s Best of Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022 - Part Two

We couldn’t stop at just five shows, Besties, so here’s some more of our big highlights from this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe…

Bloody Mary: Live!

Teen Queen Mary Tudor takes to the mic to set the record straight on her ‘bloody’ image. In this one-woman stand-up special, Bloody Mary tackles the drama every #queenager deals with. Divorced parents, sibling rivalry and religious purges!

Keep informed of writer and performer Olivia Miller’s work here.

Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World

Kickass inspirational pop musical from the producers of Six celebrating the lives of Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, Emmeline Pankhurst and many more. Join Jade as she breaks away from her class on a museum visit to discover the Gallery of Greatness. Adapted from suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst’s award-winning picture book.

Having already toured a few venues across the UK, we don’t think it’s going to be long before this show tours again. We’ll keep you posted, Besties!

Charlie Russell Aims To Please

Charlie Russell (Mischief Comedy) wants to do an Edinburgh show. Rather than focusing on what she wants to say, all she can think about is what she wants other people to think about it. So, she’s going to do a show that will please absolutely every single member of the audience. That’s doable, right?

No news of a tour for Charlie as yet, but you can keep up to date by checking the Mischief Comedy website here.

Feeling Afraid as If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen

“I’m 36, I’m a comedian, and I’m about to kill my boyfriend….” Reassuring words from a permanently single, professionally neurotic stand-up when he finally meets Mr Right. A dark new comedy about vulnerability, intimacy, ego and truth. It’s not short of laughs, trust us!

Performed by two-time Tony Award nominee Samuel Barnett. Instagram: @mrsamuelbarnett

Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle

Another Mischief Comedy production but they’re all so good that we couldn’t leave this one out! Henry Lewis is Mind Mangler, a new solo spectacular that is guaranteed to spiral into chaos as he attempts to read your mind. Described as telepathically challenged, only you can be the judge of that!

Created from a character from Magic Goes Wrong, keep up to date with all Mischief Comedy’s productions here.

And there you have it Besties, our top ten at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022. What have been your highlights?
