We are looking for new Besties to join the WEBF team!

Besties, we are looking for people to join our team!

West End Best Friend is a creative hub and community where people come to exercise their creative flare and passion for the arts. In particular, we are looking for Reviewers, News writers/Journalists, Content Creators, people who want experience in marketing, Videographers and interviewers/personalities (also people who are interesting in making videos for TikTok or YouTube videos). On top of that long list, if you are someone who wants experience in the arts or just wants to be part of a friendly community then get in touch!

Lovers of live theatre are not all the same. We draw on the differences of who we are, how we think and what we have experienced. This is what makes theatre accessible, approachable and adored. For West End Best Friend to serve everyone who loves live theatre, we must aim to include and reflect ALL who love live theatre. In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of age, culture, ethnicity, race, sexuality, gender identiy and expression, religion and disability. Best friends come in all shapes and sizes and we are no exception.

Though all are invited to apply, we are particularly interested to hear from PoC and People with disabilities to ensure our team is representative of all of theatredom and holds diverse perspectives.

With our ever-growing following across all socials, we are looking to expand our WEBF family. So spread the word and get in touch if you would like to join the team and be part of the stagiest page that’s all the rage. We interview the West End’s biggest stars, we review shows around the country and we run some AMAZING competitions. Find the roles we are looking to fill posted below ❤️

Who we are looking for:

Reviewers:

We are looking for capable, keen and reliable reviewers from all around the U.K. to attend the press nights for the hundreds of shows we get invited to each year, soak up the experience and write high quality reviews. Please remember our motto for reviews (if you’ve got nothing nice to say, say something constructive!) It takes a village to put on a production and we, at West End Best Friend, always aim to champion shows, not belittle shows.

Specific areas we are looking for people to cover:

London

Gloucestershire

Cumbria

Liverpool

Newcastle

Oxford

Bath

Essex

Berkshire

Scotland

But if you live particularly close to a theatre and think you could be a key member of the reviews team, do get in touch!

Content creators and Production team:

We are looking for a whole heap of people to join our content team, be that people that want to make original funny content, quizzes, trivia, brand reviews, the list goes on!

Interviewers and personalities:

We are looking for people with the kind of confidence and knowledge of theatre who would feel comfortable to be one of our interviewers.

News writers:

Be part of our fantastic writing team, keeping our page up to date with all the latest stagey news and gossip from West End to Broadway! Great for budding journalists!

Is there something else you think you could bring to our page that we haven’t thought of yet?

Are you a fantastic filmmaker? Video Editor? Clothes designer? Do you have a flare for marketing? Is there something you think you could bring to our business that will be fresh and new and make us stand out?

If you would like to be part of the stagiest page that’s all the rage, please send an email through to us at westendbestfriend@gmail.com with a little bit about yourself, the role you’d like to apply for and where possible, a small example of your work. Whilst not essential, for people applying for content and interviewer roles, we would love a video of yourself in this email, so we can see your personality come across.

Also feel free to ask any questions you might have in the email itself. The roles require no minimum amount of time dedicated to the page, just whenever people are available. The roles are currently unpaid, but there are certain roles available within the company that have room to be paid positions in the future for those with the right work ethic and for those who want to dedicate serious time to the business. We also will always take to write in-depth references for any of the people from our community when they are applying for jobs and wanting to get into various levels of higher education.

So if you want to be part of our little family of creatives and be part of the stagey fun, join us now! (Ages 18 and over)
