This summer, the Tony-nominated Broadway phenomenon Waitress: The Musical, starring Grammy winner Sara Bareilles, will be screened in cinemas across the UK for one night only, with audiences invited for a sweet evening of heartbreaks and hearty bakes on 20 June.

Captured live from Broadway in New York City in 2021, the Tony nominated production - directed for the screen by Brett Sullivan - follows the life of Jenna Hunterson (Sara Bareilles), a pie-maker and waitress stuck in an unfulfilling marriage in a small town. When a baking contest offers a chance at escape, she navigates love, dreams and newfound courage to take back control of her life.

Based on the beloved film Waitress by Adrienne Shelley, the musical adaptation was written by Jessie Nelson (book) with original music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles.
