V&A Museum to screen archive musicals as part of PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL

Running from 22 April, the V&A’s Performance Festival will screen a number of archive musicals free of charge, in addition to a number of workshops, special events and talks.

Films include the Almeida Theatre’s Spring Awakening, directed by Rupert Goold and recorded live in January 2022, which screens on 22 April at 1.45pm; The Color Purple, directed by Tineke Craig at Curve and recorded live in July 2019, will be shown on 26 April at 1.45pm; Caroline, or Change, directed by Michael Longhurst and recorded live in January 2019 at the Playhouse Theatre, will be screened on 27 April at 1.45pm; and the Donmar’s recent production of The Band’s Visit will be shown on 30 April at 1.45pm.
