The UPBEAT Festival of Culture, Learning and Wellbeing will take place on 22 July at an interactive digital park, including performances from West End stars.

UPBEAT has something for everyone: music, theatre, dance, comedy, poetry, art, and much more, with the festival centring around a live singing event with renowned choral director Mark De-Lisser who has worked with Ariana Grande, Jessie J and Beverly Knight and has worked on many TV programmes such as BBC’s Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure.

The festival’s ‘Culture Stage’ will be hosted by Tom Ling and Geddy Stringer of The Show Show podcast and will be raising money for mental health charity, Industry Minds. This stage will see performances from Rosalie Craig, Sandra Marvin, Jodie Prenger and Sara Poyzer from the Nottingham Playhouse, the Johnny Mercer Foundation’s 2020 songwriters, Gradfest UK, Philip Joel, Electric Light Orchestra’s Dave Scott-Morgan and many others.

UPBEAT Festival will take place on an innovative digital platform, Stream Park and will be produced by Inspire Music and Stream Park (Joel Hall) and co-produced by The Show Show (Tom Ling and Geddy Stringer), building on last year’s UPLOAD Virtual Festival, which brought together over 150 acts and organisations. Audience members will be able to socialise and interact with different elements of the digital park as if they were actually there!
