UK workshop of Van Gogh musical STARRY announced

Matt Dahan and Kelly D'Angelo's cult hit musical Starry will receive a UK workshop production over the next few weeks featuring an all-star cast, ahead of its anticipated world premiere in 2023.

The musical tells the life story of iconic painter Vincent van Gogh and has been in development since 2017.

The workshop cast includes Jamie Muscato (Heathers) as Vincent van Gogh, Dean John-Wilson (Aladdin) as Theo van Gogh, Aaron Teoh (But, I'm a Cheerleader) as Toulouse Lautrec, Maiya Quansah-Breed (Six) as Jo Bonger, Reggie Mccarthy (Transfied) as Emile Bernar, and Adrian Hansel (Guys and Dolls) as Paul Gaugin.

Produced by Ameena Hamid, the workshop will be directed by Dean Johnson, with choreography by Nileeka Bose, musical direction by Jordan Li-Smith, design by Simon Kenny, and video and projection by George Reeve.
