TRAINSPOTTING LIVE to head out on tour following Edinburgh Fringe run
It has been announced that Trainspotting Live will embark on a new tour following its run at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
Based on Irvine Welsh’s seminal book Trainspotting, this punchy, 75 minute production recaptures the passion and the controversy of the famous novel, then globally successful film, and repackages it into an immersive production.
The 2022 cast includes Andrew Barrett as Renton, Lauren Downie as June & Ensemble, Greg Esplin as Tommy & Co-Director, Michael Lockerbie as Sick Boy & Ensemble and Olivier Sublet as Mother Superior & Begbie.
The piece is directed by Adam Spreadbury-Maher, with lighting by Clancy Flynn and sound by Tom Lishman.
Trainspotting Live plays at Pleasance at EICC at the Edinburgh Fringe from 4-28 August, before visiting Corby, Manchester, Windermere, Glasgow, London’s Riverside Studios and Southampton.
