Tony Award winner Matt Doyle to play Seymour in Off Broadway revival of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
It has been announced that Tony Award winner Matt Doyle will join the cast of Off-Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors as Seymour from 15 November.
Doyle has starred in productions such as the recent Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Company, for which he won the 2022 Tony Award for ‘Best Featured Actor in a Musical,’ The Book of Mormon, Spring Awakening, War Horse, and Bye Bye Birdie. He has also appeared Off-Broadway and regionally, and on screen in shows such as CBS’ The Code and the original Gossip Girl.
Doyle joins the cast after Tony Award nominee Rob McClure plays his final performance on 13 November. He will join Tony Award winner Lena Hall as Audrey, Brad Oscar as Mushnik, Bryce Pinkham as Dr. Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. (until 6 November), Aaron Arnell Harrington as The Voice of Audrey II, Ari Groover as Ronnette, Tiffany Renee Thompson as Crystal, Khadija Sankoh as Chiffon, Josh Daniel, Camryn Hampton, Michael Iannucci, Weston Chandler Long, Chelsea Turbin, and Teddy Yudain. Andrew Call (Rock of Ages) returns as Dr. Orin Scrivello, D.D.S., on 8 November.
With a book and lyrics by Grammy and Academy Award winner Howard Ashman, and music by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken, the 2020 Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Little Shop of Horrors is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer.
