Tom Hanks in negotiations to star in live-action Pinocchio film

Disney’s Pinocchio will be the next film in line to receive live-action treatment and according to Deadline, Tom Hanks is in early negotiations to play Geppetto.

Written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, Hanks reported reached out to the director to express his wishes to play the part.

This would not be the first time that Hanks and Zemeckis work together, with past projects including: Forrest Gump, Castaway and The Polar Express.
