It has been confirmed in the House of Commons this afternoon that England WILL move to step four in the roadmap to reopening on 19 July as proposed, meaning that theatres can open at capacity.

The Health Secretary Sajid Javid said that this step will "take us one step closer to the life we want to live."

Face masks are still recommended in busy indoor settings and businesses/large event organisers will be encouraged to use “COVID passports”, but this is not enforced by law. The Track and Trace app will also remain in place.

Further information is expected later this week.
