Theatre Royal Stratford East announces full casting for RED RIDING HOOD

The cast for this year’s pantomime at the Theatre Royal Stratford East has been announced. The show, with book and lyrics by Carl Miller (Frankenstein, NYT, Wasted, Southwark Playhouse) and music and lyrics by Robert Hyman (Reasons to be Cheerful, Graeae, UK Tour, Rapunzel, Aladdin, and the first ever Olivier Award nominated panto, Cinderella, all for Stratford East) will run from 27 November to 31 December.

Directed by Robert Shaw Cameron, the piece has show-stopping new songs, brilliant sets, and breath-taking costumes, and promises something for everyone, Stratford East pantomimes are known for giving classic stories a twist and making them relevant for their local communities and beyond.

The full cast for the pantomime includes Elise Zavou (Titanic:The Musical, Guildford School of Acting) as Red making her adult professional debut; Maisy Bawden (The Tempest, Shakespeare’s Globe, Eastenders, Dr Zhivago UK Premier) as Mum; Phil Nichol (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Apollo Theatre, Twelve Angry Men, Assembly Rooms) will be taking on the role of Granny; Jodie Jacobs (Evita, Adelphi Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors, The Duke of York’s Theatre) will play Woody, and Ashley Goh (The Wizard of Oz, The Space Edinburgh Fringe, Spring Awakening, AMATA Penryn) will take on the role of Bo Peep.

The show will also feature Raphael Bushay (Don Quixote, RSC, Peter Pan and Henry V, Regents Park Open Air Theatre) as Wolf and Luke Latchman (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Apollo Theatre, Cinderella, Amazon Prime) as Wolfie.
