Theatre Royal Stratford East announces CINDERELLA as 2022/23 pantomime

Theatre Royal Stratford East have announced that its pantomime next year will be Cinderella, running from 19 November 2022-7 January 2023.

With a book and lyrics by award-winning writer Leo Butler and music and lyrics by Robert Hyman, tickets are now on sale for Members and will go on general sale from 27 November.

Each year, #StratfordPanto tears up the rulebook and turns a classic story on its head to make it relevant to our local community and beyond.

Next year’s panto will feature all the right ingredients and not one but THREE panto dames in the shape of a Wicked Stepmother and two Mean-Girl Sisters. Get ready to experience Stratford East’s unique twist on this classic tale, set in the ancient home of Sphynx cats, pharaohs and the empress Cleopatra...

You can expect their much-loved mix of show-stopping original music and laugh-out-loud comedy alongside magical sets and costumes in this perfect festive treat for all ages. Come along and find out if Cinderella will make it to the ball after all.

The venue have also announced the free broadcast of this year’s pantomime Red Riding Hood to local hospitals, hospices and care homes in East London and Essex, available for streaming from 22 December 2021 – 5 January 2022. To apply to broadcast the capture, email getinvolved@stratfordeast.com. BSL, AD and captioned versions will also be available.
