Theatr Clwyd announces cast for world première of A PRETTY SH*TTY LOVE

Theatr Clwyd have announced their cast for the world première production of acclaimed playwright Katherine Chandler’s A Pretty Sh*tty Love, running at the venue from 8-23 July, before playing at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff from 27-29 July.

Inspired by true events of a woman buried alive by her abusive partner that shook Wales and reverberated around the world, Francesca Goodridge directs Danielle Bird (The Comedy of Errors, Mercury Theatre) as Hayley and Daniel Hawksford (Troilus and Cressida, RSC) as Carl.

In this dynamic new play, Hayley and Carl journey through complexities of love and life, dreaming of love, living in fear and finding the strength to pull yourself out.

The production features design by Lulu Tam, lighting by Jess Bernberg, sound and composition by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite, movement by Yandass Ndlovu, and video by Libby Ward.
