It has been announced today that the Southwark Playhouse revival production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years has been recorded, with plans to stream the show internationally next month.

The show reopened its London run earlier this month after being forced to close due to the lockdown in March. It has been filmed and will be distributed by new streaming service stream.theatre (who have handled the Tonight at the London Coliseum series brilliantly).

Audiences will be able to purchase tickets to watch the show’s stars, Molly Lynch and Oli Higginson, in action from the comfort of their own homes, with the show being streamed on five occasions between 26-29 November. The show will play to live audiences until 14 November.

The creative team includes choreographer Sam Spencer-Lane, set and costume by Lee Newby, lighting design by Jamie Platt and sound by Adam Fisher. Musical direction and orchestration are by George Dyer, and performers are joined by a four-piece band.
