The Hope Theatre announces release dates & full details for its Hope at Home digital project
Islington’s Hope Theatre has announced the release dates and full details for its 5-part online series, Hope at Home.
The digital project consists of 15-minute monologues that explore a single fascinating slice of life, created by 25 artists commissioned by the theatre earlier this autumn.
The first film, My Father’s Shed starring Jacob Seelochan, premieres on the theatre’s Youtube channel on 23 November with subsequent films released every Monday until 21 December.
Other films to be shown included Where The Socks Go starring Meesha Turner on 30 November, A Moment’s Peace starring Kate O’Rourke on 7 December (which will also be released as a full unabridged radio play), Almost There starring Guy Porritt on 14 December and 21 Round For Christmas starring Clare Bloomer on 21 December.
Each film will be available free for seven days but audiences are encouraged to 'pay what they can' to encourage access and donations to help secure the future of the critically acclaimed pub theatre.
Artistic Director Kennedy Bloomer said, “We’re so excited to share these stories online, and to be able to reach as many people as possible with our PAY WHAT YOU CAN initiative while our doors are closed. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the theatre in 2021.”
