A UK National tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s musical Tell Me on a Sunday has been announced by producer Jamie Wilson. The musical will open at the Malvern Festival Theatre on 15 June 2021 and will star Jodie Prenger.

The tour  has announced dates up until 6 November and will visit theatres in Birmingham, Sheffield and Nottingham, with further dates to be announced, with more information here.

Tell Me on a Sunday tells the story of an English girl as she makes her way around New York in the 1980’s looking for love and success, she encounters problems which make her question if she is looking for love in all the wrong places. It features famous hits including ‘Take That Look Off Your Face’ and title track ‘Tell Me on a Sunday’.

Prenger will be reprising the role of Emma, which she previously played in a 2015-2016 tour of the production.

Producer Jamie Wilson said: “We are thrilled that we are able to revive the acclaimed Watermill Theatre production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s Tell Me On A Sunday to be able to play a part in the reopening of theatres around the UK. Tell Me On A Sunday, with its cast of just one actress, is probably the most naturally socially distanced musical in the world! We are delighted that Jodie Prenger is able to return to this role to reprise her incredible performance as “Emma”. This production is the perfect way for audiences to support their local theatre with this classic show.”
