Emmy-award nominated actor and star of Ted Lasso, Phil Dunster, is no stranger to the West End stage, and is now bringing his own show to town for a cause close to his heart.

An Evening with Phil Dunster & Friends will feature an exclusive line-up of performers from the worlds of drama, music and comedy in a fabulous variety show, for strictly one night only, at the Victoria Palace Theatre on 24 November.

Best known for his role as Jamie Tartt on Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, Phil will be joined by the hilarious comedian Rob Delaney, and fellow comedian, actress and writer Aisling Bea.

Joining them will be Olivier award-nominated Zizi Strallen, who recently starred alongside Phil in Oklahoma! at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Singer-songwriters Alex Vargas and BEKA are also joining the line-up, with further acts to be announced.

This one-off entertainment extravaganza is to raise vital funds for Young Lives vs Cancer, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people with cancer.

Phil became an ambassador for the charity after his cousin’s four-month-old son Rory was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away. Earlier this year, Phil ran the London Marathon and raised more than £15,000 for the charity.

Phil said: “Wow wow wow! It is beyond a dream to bring this show together on one of the most iconic stages on the West End. I’ve called upon some lovely friends for an evening of joy, silliness and entertainment.

“We would love to see as many people come to support the cause as possible. I first learned about Young Lives vs Cancer when Rory, the son of my cousin Matt and his wife Amy, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumour sometimes found in children.

“As you could imagine it was devastating, and an incredibly sad and confusing time but within 48 hours of his diagnosis, Matt and Amy had a Young Lives vs Cancer Social Worker by their side offering logistical, financial, and emotional support. They were there by their side, all the way through what was the most awful time.”

Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored emotional and practical care and support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Phil will pay tribute to Rory during the evening and shine a light on the journeys children and young people living with cancer are facing every day.
