SUMMER HOLIDAY revival announced at Sheffield Theatres

It has been announced that Summer Holiday, directed by Elizabeth Newman and Ben Occhipinti, will be next year’s summer musical at Sheffield Crucible, running from 20 June-18 July 2026.

Summer Holiday forms part of Elizabeth Newman’s inaugural season of shows as Artistic Director, with new productions running from autumn 2025 to summer 2026 in the Crucible Theatre and Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse.

Aboard a double decker bus, Don and his friends are on a fun-packed trip to Paris, The Alps, Italy and Greece, in search of a good time and a brilliant summer. On the way they encounter pop bands, runaway pops stars and of course holiday romance.

Especially adapted for Sheffield and featuring classic hits such as ‘Summer Holiday’, ‘The Young Ones’ and ‘Living Doll’, Summer Holiday really is the happiest of all the musicals.
