Stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race to bring festive murder-mystery Death Drop to the West End this Christmas
In a historic first, the Garrick Theatre has joined in the list of West End venues staging socially-distanced festive fun as it announces the arrival of Death Drop on 3 December.
Billed as a "murder mystery with more twists and turns than a drag queens wig", Death Drop is the first show in West End history to comprise entirely of drag artists.
With a tag line of “A Dragatha Christie Murder-Mystery”, it promises hilarity, intrigue and fabulousness. The show will star Courtney Act and Monét X Change of Drag Race fame, with Kemah Bob, LoUis CYfer, Anna Phylactic, Holly Stars and Vinegar Strokes completing the cast of drag artists.
On making their West End debut at the end of a rollercoaster year, Act said: "I can't wait to get back onto a stage in front of real people this Christmas and I especially can't wait to make my West End debut in Death Drop! It's such a hilarious show and it's just what we all need after months of being locked away. The Garrick Theatre, I'm coming for you!"
Death Drop is written by Holly Stars, inspired by an idea from Christopher D Clegg, and is produced by Trafalgar Theatre Productions and TuckShop. The production is scheduled to run from 3 December 2020 - 17 January 2021 with a running time of 2 hours including an interval.
