Star-studded cabaret comes to Leyton Jubilee Park next week

Emily-Jane Crittenden’s debut production Neon Cat Cabaret will be coming to London’s cabaret scene this August.

Hosted by Guinness World Record-breaking juggler Rod Laver, the production promises an hour of circus, comedy and burlesque guaranteed to enthral and excite audiences. Held at Leyton Jubilee Park on Thursday 5 August at 9pm, the event will part of an 11-day circus festival.

The show will feature Colombian acrobat Felipe Reyes, aerial artist Katherine Arnold who starred in the London Olympics Opening Ceremony and La Soiree. World-class burlesque artist Demi Noire will wow audiences and Italian award-winning siren Jolie Papillion aims to leave audiences breathless.

Physical comedian Sam Goodburn, previously seen on Game of Talents, adds to the extraordinary evening of first-class cabaret. The one night only events forms part of a series of events called ‘Late Night Pucks’ and is supported by the Chancellors Cultural Relief Fund, which is supporting artists in returning to the stage for the first time since last March.

Producer of Neon Cat Cabaret Emily-Jayne Crittenden is a first time circus producer having swapped a career in tech evangelism working with Google and Amazon during the pandemic, due to the lack of live interaction with clients.

Crittenden said: “I left tech when working from home rules made my conferences unworkable. They were all about bringing people together and that couldn’t happen in the same format or way virtually. In the tech industry, everyone seems happy to continue working over Zoom and reluctant to engage with live events, so I don’t think I’ll go back. Performing arts has always been my true passion but I never had the confidence to make it my career. A year in, I don’t ever want to leave."

Tickets are available to book now here, and it is over 18’s only.
