Sky Arts announces festive programming
Sky Arts has announced details of its festive programming including drama, music, dance and musical theatre.
From 11am on Saturday 19 December, Ballet Lorent’s Rumpelstiltskin will air, with Christmas hits being performed by a number of big names in concert at the Royal Albert Hall at 5.15pm, presented by Jason Manford.
Jorden Morris’ ballet interpretation of Moulin Rouge! will be shown on Sunday 20 December, bright and early at 6am, followed later on by the Royal Ballet’s 2017 production of The Nutcracker. On the evening, the previously reported behind-the-scenes documentary on Glyndebourne will be broadcast.
The National Theatre’s production of Twelfth Night starring Tamsin Greig will be shown on Monday 21 December at 9pm, with The Sound of Music Live! led by Carrie Underwood being shown on Tuesday 22 December at 9pm and an all-star production of Jesus Christ Superstar (featuring John Legend, Alice Cooper and Sara Bareilles) to be broadcast on Wednesday 23 December at 9pm.
