Simon Russell Beale to star in JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN at the Bridge Theatre

It has been announced that a new version of Henrik Ibsen’s John Gabriel Borkman will be staged at the Bridge Theatre from 24 September-26 November, with Simon Russell Beale taking on the title role.

The production, which will be directed by Lucinda Coxon, tells the story of John Gabriel Borkman, a once illustrious entrepreneur who is dreaming of a comeback following a prison sentence. As he paces in an upstairs room, his wife downstairs is plotting for the restoration of the family name but when her sister arrives, she triggers a desperate showdown. 

Further casting is to be announced.

Booking opens today for Bridge Priority members, with public booking opening at 10am on 22 March here.
