Programming announced at new Thorington amphitheatre

The new outdoor wooden amphitheatre that we reported on in Thorington, Suffolk has announced details of its opening season later this year.

It will feature theatre, opera and circus, along with local school plays. Show programming includes: Mini Mouth Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, This Is My Theatre’s Treasure Island, Shake It Up Theatre: The Improvised Shakespeare Show, British Touring Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Something Underground’s The Spirit of Woodstock, Upshoot Theatre Company’s Into The Woods and Calf 2 Cow’s The Wind in the Willows theatrical dining experience; with tickets expected to go on sale next month.

The space will seat around 350 audience members, complete with wheelchair access, along with a box office hut and wooden bar.
