Shakespeare's Globe announce cast of MACBETH

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast of Macbeth, which plays at the venue from 21 July-28 October.

Directed by Abigail Graham, the cast includes Aaron Anthony (The Motive and The Cue, National Theatre) as Macduff, Luke Beggs (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, National Theatre) as Young Siward, Max Bennett (Anna, National Theatre) as Macbeth, Calum Callaghan (Fishermans’ Friends, ROYO Theatre Company) as Witch/Porter/Murderer, Ben Caplan (Sherlock Carol, Marylebone Theatre) as Witch/Murderer/Doctor, Timothy Daniel (professional debut) as Fleance, Max Ellis (professional debut) as Young Siward, Matti Houghton (Angela, Lyceum Edinburgh) as Lady Macbeth, Cam'ron Joseph (professional debut) as Macduff's Child, Helena Lymbery (Britannicus, Lyric Hammersmith) as Duncan/Siward, Joseph Payne (The Tempest, RSC) as Malcolm, Arno Perry (professional debut) as Macduff's Child, Ferdy Roberts (Girl from the North Country, Old Vic) as Witch/Seyton, Elijah Sholanke (RISE, Disney) as Fleance, Fode Simbo (Under the Kunde Tree, Southwark Playhouse) as Banquo, Gabby Wong (1899, Netflix) as Ross, and Eleanor Wyld (The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, The Watermill) as Lady Macduff.

Director Abigail Graham said: “I am incredibly grateful to be exploring Macbeth with this fearless ensemble of actors. They truly are some of the most exciting and talented collaborators a director could wish for. Together we will create a Macbeth which feels genuinely alive and in dialogue with the world we all find ourselves in today.”

This production has been cast by Becky Paris, Head of Casting at Shakespeare’s Globe, with composition by Osnat Schmool, design by Ti Green, and movement direction by Jenni Jackson.
