Selladoor presents first outdoor theatre festival in North Devon

Summer Festival Selladoor

Selladoor have unveiled their first outdoor theatre festival, taking place at The Landmark in Ilfracombe this summer.

The Summer Festival will run from 27-31 August and will be packed with live performances including Illyria's The Wind In The Willows, vocal harmony trio Vintage Summertime with The Femmes, Comedy at the Landmark headlining Simon Brodkin, Britain's Got Talent finalist Ben Hart's 2 Metre Magic, Made to Measure Productions' summer pantomime Pirates Ahoy, and A Midsummer Night's Dream, presented by Three Inch Fools.

Selladoor are committed to adhering to social distancing guidelines across all of the events, with staggered arrival and seating times.

The Landmark itself will not open its inside venue until November at the earliest but the use of its grounds will bring a programme of much-wanted live theatre to the North Devon region.

David Hutchinson, CEO of Selladoor Worldwide, said “It’s now been nearly five months since we were forced to close the doors at our theatres and whilst we are still not able to present work inside our auditoriums, we didn’t want to miss the chance to connect with our North Devon audiences this summer – and so are delighted to announce our Summer Festival at The Landmark at the end of August. As we launch our first live shows in the beautiful grounds of The Landmark – we urge our loyal patrons to come back and show their support for both the theatre and incredible artists who are presenting work this month for the first time since March.”
