Sara Bareilles teases filmed release of Broadway’s WAITRESS THE MUSICAL

Grammy winner Sara Bareilles teased on Instagram yesterday that a pro-shot of Waitress, captured on Broadway, is in the latter stages of post-production and there are hopes for a release very soon!

Filmed during the show's run at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in September 2021, Bareilles stepped back into the role of Jenna for the film, alongside Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Eric Anderson as Cal, Dakin Matthews as Joe, and Joe Tippett as Earl.

Waitress has a book by Jessie Nelson, with direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus and choreography by Lorin Latarro.
