Royal Court Theatre announces cast for BAGHDADDY by Jasmine Naziha Jones

Casting has been announced for Jasmine Naziha Jones’ Baghdaddy, which is due to run at the Royal Court Theatre from 18 November - 17 December. 

Directed by Milli Bhatia, this playfully devastating coming-of-age story will star Phillip Arditti (Copenhagen, Theatre Royal Bath), Souad Faress (Sugar and Snow, Hampstead Theatre), Jasmine Naziha Jones (The Art of Success, Rose Theatre Kingston), Hayat Kamille (Othello, English Touring Theatre/Dubai Opera) and Noof Ousellam (Leopoldstadt, West End).

Baghdaddy is told through clowning and memory, exploring cultural identity, generational trauma and a father and daughter relationship with the backdrop of global conflict. 

Baghdaddy is designed by Moi Tran, with lighting by Jessica Hung Han Yun, sound by Elena Peña, and movement direction by Valentina Ceschi.

This debut play for Jasmine Naziha Jones was developed as part of an introduction of playwrighting group at the Royal Court and is a co-production with SISTER.
