Fringe review: WET, The Hairy Godmothers - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Open the floodgates and prepare for a torrential downpour, folks! The women of The Hairy Godmothers submerge your juicy minds in an unforgettable cathartic comedy-cabaret. When you think of WET, do you think of wetting yourself with laughter, wiping a profound tear, or getting swept away in a deluge of passion? In any case, prepare for a flash flood as we explore the vast oceans of femininity and femaleness in this adults-only cabaret with heart.

Wet is a celebration of the female form, in all its glory! It's also a challenge of society's perceptions of body image, of mental states, and of power throughout history through to present day.

Told through comedy sketches, music, song and poetry, this is a cabaret like no other but you will leave feeling empowered and more knowledgable than when you arrived.

The performers are greatly talented and encourage the audience not to be shy. It's a great atmosphere, very entertaining and whilst blissfully funny it will also bring a tear to your eye.

A great evening of all round entertainment with a gala female cast.

**** Four stars
