Fringe review: THE FRUITY PRINCE, The Pesky Players - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

The Virgin Queen? Maybe not! Lizzy I has a son and he's a bit fruity. Henry IX has been lost in hetero history for way too long, and now he's finally here to claim what is rightfully his. The Fruity Prince is a sizzling Tudor romp of seduction and scandal. Exactly how much do Queen Liz and Kat Slater have in common? Look out though, Shakespeare is on the prowl!

With a tongue-in-cheek script and sexy dance routines to pop classics, you really haven't lived until you've seen Lizzy I slut drop! It's fast paced and raunchy and fits perfectly into the intimate venue of the Vaults.

The small, yet stand out talented cast includes Katie Driver as the Prince's betrothed, Gertrude, with her hilariously funny facial expressions and comic timing impeccable, and John Posnett as the Prince's lover, Jonty, with some seriously funky dance moves.

It's an empowering story of what might have been (but probably wasn't), but imagine if it was?!

Sexy, saucy and seriously funny!
