Theatre discovery platform Thespie’s Oops..I Streamed it Again is presented to us by five incredible musical theatre artists who met whilst working on new West End sensation, & Juliet. 

Jordan Luke Gage, Tim Mahendran, Grace Mouat, Oliver Thompsett and Cassidy Janson (who bagged herself a Olivier award earlier in the year) perform in the 40-minute concert, which includes a mix of pop songs and musical classics. 

It makes for very relaxed viewing and I have revisited it a couple of times since my first watch and even had it playing in the background. 

The set-up is very simple in that the artists are sat on chairs on a stage and introduce each other to sing certain songs. There is some banter thrown in for good measure as well and you can tell that they are all very good friends; Janson and Tompsett also having worked together in Wicked circa 2006. Having seen them both in it at the time, it was nice to see them reunite again. 

There is a VT of the artists discussing what role has been their favourite to play, which is welcome as it is personal and connects with you as a viewer. It is evident that the performers miss being on stage and we miss seeing them on stage too!

Opening with ‘Oops I Did It Again’ by Britney Spears, their voices blend together wonderfully and if there is ever a reason to go see & Juliet, then this is it. 

All have incredible voices but my personal highlight is Jordan Luke Gage singing David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’. It is such an iconic song that is brave to tackle but he more than did it justice. 

If you are missing the theatre, this concert is for you. Hopefully it won’t be too long before they will be back on stage again, entertaining audiences night after night.
