Review: JINKX MONSOON: SHE’S STILL GOT IT! (with Major Scales), Assembly - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Fresh from Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Winners season and making her debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Jinkx Monsoon is here to prove that She’s Still Got It!

Touring the world with music partner Major Scales performing their cabaret shows has gained her a massive fan base and she is here to win over Edinburgh.

This is Monsoon as you’ve never seen her before, entering the stage with her unique presence right from the start. Major Scales is there to rain her in when the stories become too spicy … but without much success!

This show is definitely not for the faint hearted or easily offended. It’s brash and brazen, without any restrictions and it’s easy to see why her unique humour has made her the drag superstar that we know and love.

The evening is full of quirky and revamped covers of well-known songs as well as original music and Monsoon belts them all out with gusto. She has the audience eating from the palm of her hand!

Unsuppressed, unrestricted and unrepeatable!

**** Four stars
