Fringe review: A PIRATE’S LIFE FOR ME, Max Norman - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Award-winning actor and comedian Max Norman invites all ages to join the crew of a ship and set sail on the high seas on a comedy quest bursting with nautical nonsense, ludicrous characters and lashings of 90s nostalgia. This hour of immersive fun will leave your cockles yo-ho-ing with delight. So, grab yer grog, climb aboard and become the pirate you were born to be!

Max Norman is a delightful ball of energy, whether his portrayal of not knowing what's going on is great acting or real life panic, it's infectious! Suitable for all ages, the younger audience are enthralled by the story and the older ones are remembering how to play, both are great for the soul!

As we embark on our adventure, there is a small amount of audience participation but it is all so incredibly silly that everyone is keen to join in. Norman is a brilliant storyteller, with lots of dressing up and a profound imagination.

This is a superb production for all ages and a great way to experience a show with the family and to just be utterly, utterly ridiculous with a bunch of strangers for an hour.

A foolish and funny adventure.
