Rescheduled dates announced for Theatre Royal Windsor’s HAMLET starring Sir Ian McKellen

The previously reported Theatre Royal Windsor production of Hamlet, starring Sir Ian McKellen, has announced rescheduled dates, now running from 21 June - 4 September 2021.

McKellen will take on the titular role for the first time in nearly 50 years, and will star alongside Francesca Annis, Jenny Seagrove, Steven Berkoff, Emmanuella Cole, Alis Wyn Davies, Missy Malek, Ben Allen, Asif Khan, Nick Howard-Brown, Llinos Daniel and Ashley Gayle.

Directed by Sean Mathias, the show has design by Lee Newby, costumes by Loren Elstein, lighting by Jamie Platt, and composition/sound by Adam Cork.

Succeeding Hamlet at the venue will be Martin Sherman’s adaptation of Anton Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard, where McKellen will appear as Firs, the elderly manservant. The show will play from 10 September - 23 October 2021.

Tickets go on general sale tomorrow (20 March) at 11am.
