Legendary Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery has passed away aged 90, his family have confirmed today.

The Academy award-winning actor was best known for playing James Bond in seven films in the popular franchise.

Other film credits include: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Untouchables (a role he won an Oscar for) and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
