It has been announced that legendary composer Burt Bacharach has sadly passed away aged 94.

Multi Grammy and Oscar award winner Bacharach wrote a huge 73 Top 40 hits in the United States (many written with lyricist Hal David), including ‘Magic Moments’, ‘I Say A Little Prayer’, ‘Close To You’, ‘Alfie’, ‘What’s New, Pussycat?’ and so many more.

Bacharach also composed the score for 1968 musical Promises, Promises, which won the 1969 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. The show more recently returned to Broadway in 2010 for a revival starring Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
