Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has sadly passed away aged 78, it has been announced.

Goodman featured on Strictly Come Dancing from 2004-2016 before he was replaced by Shirley Ballas. He was also head judge on the US version, Dancing With The Stars, from 2005, only retiring last year.

Ballroom dancer Len won the British Championships in Blackpool in his late 20s before stepping back from competitive dancing.

He also received the Carl Alan Award for outstanding contribution to dance.

Our thoughts are with Len’s family and friends at this difficult time.
