Remembering stage and screen actor MARCEL WHITE

It has been announced that stage and screen actor Marcel White has sadly passed away.

White most recently performed in the National Theatre production of Small Island and the UK tour of A Taste of Honey, alongside Jodie Prenger. He could be seen in Strictly Arts Theatre Company and Belgrade Theatre’s 2021 film Seaview, and was due to appear in Derby Theatre’s 4 Walls later on this month.

Tributes have been pouring in for the much loved performer who is survived by his wife and young son.

Our Managing Director at WEBF James Edge was close friends with White having trained with him at Birmingham School of Acting. He said of Marcel:

“You were the best of us, always lighting up whichever room you graced with your positive presence. The world is a little bit dimmer now without your shine. R.I.P brother.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marcel’s family and friends at this difficult time.
